Below are some FAQs about our Rally School Courses. If there is anything you need to know which is not addressed below, please feel free to call or write to us via our contact's page.
Do I have to pay for damage insurance excess?
No. The aim of our Rally School is to teach you the skills required to drive a rally car and to do this SAFELY. This involves both the driver and instructor behaving responsibly. Bumps and scrapes do happen, but we won't charge you for them.
How many people are on the course?
The numbers can vary but the maximum number of people on a Course is 6 people.
What cars do you use?
We use Subaru Impreza 2.0 Sports, fully rally prepared for training our students.
WE ONLY USE REAL SUBARU IMPREZA RALLY CARS - FULLY PREPARED FOR GRAVEL RALLYING
Where do you run your Rallyschool?
We operate at a secure location in South Wales. Full details will be provided upon booking.
Do I need to be a confident driver or have any rally experience to participate?
No you don't ! All you need is a full driving licence. Our courses are designed for you to have a true rally experience and most importantly - to have fun! We have experienced and friendly instructors who will guide you through the course teaching you some of the skills required as a Rally driver.
How much driving time will I have?
This will vary depending on the number of people on the course but we aim to give you as much time behind the wheel as possible! Please listen to your instructor and their directions to ensure the day runs smoothly.
What days do you run your Rallyschool?
We run weekends and weekdays, subject to availability.
What time do you start and finish the courses?
Full day course and for group bookings:
- All participants and spectators to meet at the gate at 08.45. The gate will be closed at 09.15.
- Safety briefing will commence at 09.30.
- Driving to commence at 10.00.
- The day finishes at 17.00
What should I wear?
We will supply balaclavas and helmets. Wearing the correct shoes is extremely important. We recommend thin soled shoes or trainers. If your footwear is not appropriate, we will not be able to allow you to participate.
Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing for the day's weather. We advise to bring warm clothing especially during the winter. We have a sheltered area for participants and spectators.
Are there height and weight restrictions to drive the rally car?
Yes, there is a maximum height of 6'5" and maximum weight of 17 stone.
